SACI GR rust and corrosion preventives are a range of products with an organic-inorganic composition that meets U.S. military specification MIL-C-16173D. The material’s unique structure consists of overlapping polar platelets, arranged like roof tiles, ensuring a dense, tightly adhering coating that forms an effective barrier against corrosion. All coating types, from the oily SACI GR-5 to the wax-like SACI GR-1, can be easily removed using aliphatic or aromatic organic solvents, or chlorinated solvents. SACI GR protective coatings have been extensively tested indoors and outdoors, above and below ground, in saltwater and freshwater, and on a wide range of metals, alloys, wood, polyurethane, paper, and natural fibres. The coatings do not stain metals. They offer very high resistance to bacterial and other microbiological attack, as well as heat resistance and effective electrical insulation.
