Its effectiveness stems from a combination of sulphurised fats, chlorinated sulphur-containing fatty additives, and a viscous base oil. This combination forms a lubricating film between the workpiece and the cutting tool, reducing cutting forces and stresses on the tools, thereby extending tool life.
